Terms of Engagement:
FluentDuo Online Tutoring: Regulations Policy
Welcome to FluentDuo Online Tutoring! To ensure a professional, respectful, and effective learning environment, the following regulations apply to all students and guardians.
1.
Payment Policy
- Weekly EFT Payments: All lessons must be paid for in advance via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) on a weekly basis.
- Flexible Scheduling: Students may choose the number of lessons per week based on their availability and goals. Once payment is received, lessons will be booked accordingly.
- Payment Confirmation: Proof of payment must be sent to our official contact number/email before lessons are confirmed.
2.
Lesson Scheduling & Cancellations
- Scheduling: Lessons will be scheduled in consultation with the tutor and student based on mutual availability.
- Cancellation Policy:
- Cancellations must be made at least 6 hours before the scheduled lesson.
- Late cancellations or missed lessons without valid reason may not be refunded or rescheduled.
- Tutor Cancellations: If a tutor must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, a makeup lesson will be offered at no extra cost.
3.
Code of Conduct
- Respectful Behaviour: All students must maintain respectful and appropriate behaviour during lessons. Any form of:
- Inappropriate language or gestures
- Harassment or discrimination
- Disruptive behaviour
- Refusal to cooperate with the tutorwill result in immediate cancellation of the lesson. Repeated misconduct may lead to permanent termination of services without a refund.
- Safe Environment: We are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students and tutors.
4.
Privacy & Security
- Confidentiality: All personal information and learning progress will be kept confidential and used solely for educational purposes.
- Session Recording: Lessons may not be recorded or redistributed without the written consent of both the student/guardian and the tutor.
5.
Academic Integrity
- Tutors will not complete tests, assignments, or exams on behalf of students. We are here to guide, explain, and support learning, not to replace academic effort.
6.
Technical Requirements
- Students are expected to:
- Be online and ready at the scheduled time
- Use a stable internet connection, a working device, and be in a quiet, focused environment
- Communicate promptly about any tech issues before or during the lesson
